Worms Reloaded Windowed Application v2.9

Made by FredWP.

Posted: September 1, 2010, 7:54 pm

This application allows you to run Worms: Reloaded flawlessly in window mode. The source code of the application is included and licensed under the General Public License v3 (or at your option, later).

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) is required to be able to run this. Get it here: https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a7b7a05e-6de6-4d3a-a423-37bf0912db84

Usage: execute the loader file from any location. Please note that if the game resolution matches the desktop resolution, it will run in borderless window mode. Lower the game resolution for a bordered window. Boss keys are also included (if your boss or teacher happens to walk along), press page down to completely hide the game and press page up to completely restore the game afterwards.

It also restores the usage of the Windows keys, together with Control + Escape (which opens the start menu).

Cool. I trust that you don't put a virus in here. :)

McMarius11 September 2, 2010, 1:10 am

Yeah! nice 1.5 is coming!

tekninja September 2, 2010, 7:32 am

I'm having problems with this, I've installed the Redist and changed my resolution but i can only see about an inch of the window. see screenshot: http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/7552/errorfv.jpg
im on win7

tekninja September 2, 2010, 7:40 am

So I found your steam thread, downloaded it from this link: http://omploader.org/vNWVjeg/FredWP-WRWb81068.zip and it works. although is it suppose to change the resolution of my entire monitor? weird

FredWP September 3, 2010, 12:39 pm

I hope to have it fixed in v1.5 tekninja. I'm trying hard to get it finished by today.

FredWP September 3, 2010, 10:15 pm

I uploaded v1.5, and I also put up a prettier screenshot.

Angelo September 3, 2010, 10:45 pm

I have Windows 7 64bit and it doesnt work at all, ive tried all the version i could find and it doesnt do anything.

I can see the program in the task manager, but the game just wont start

FredWP September 8, 2010, 2:36 am

Have you installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)? (see description)

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 5:16 am

I downloaded Visual C ++ 2010 but it doesnt work. Im using Windows 7 32bit.

FredWP September 8, 2010, 3:59 pm

Can you tell me how it exactly doesn't work? Does it display an error? Are you sure you are running v1.9?

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 4:36 pm

Doesnt display any error. I'm sure its 1.9.
Its opening DOS like window and after than opening Worms: Reloaded on full screen.

FredWP September 8, 2010, 5:58 pm

@EshMoon, lower your resolution, it should appear in window mode.

And the console window no longer appears since one of the early updates.

@badillin, make sure you have Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) installed.

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 6:07 pm

my windows resolution: 1920x1080
game resolution: 1280x960

But still not works.

FredWP September 8, 2010, 6:23 pm

EshMoon, remove your current files of this application, and make sure it is also not in the Worms: Reloaded main folder.

Then redownload the application from http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1419479.

Let me know how it goes. You don't need to put the files in the Worms: Reloaded directory.

If this doesn't work I'll send you a list of things you should go through to ensure your system is up-to-date.

Are you also running any protection software? If so, which, and what version?

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 7:05 pm

It now gives an error. "Failed to inject to dynamic link library into Worms: Reloaded. Do you wish start game normally?"

Im using Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 7:05 pm

Sorry Kaspersky I.S. 2010* lol

FredWP September 8, 2010, 7:26 pm

Does it work when you disable Kaspersky?

Don't keep Kaspersky disabled, I just need to know if it does or not. Then I know if I have to look into Kaspersky to solve the problem, or somewhere else.

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 7:28 pm

No. It gives same problem.

FredWP September 8, 2010, 7:42 pm

With v2.0 I'm hoping to have it fixed.

For the time being make sure everything is up-to-date:
1. Windows
2. Software (like Kaspersky)
3. Drivers (GPU)
4. DirectX (latest is August 2010 release)
...

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 7:58 pm

1- Windows updated
2- Kaspersky updated
3- Drivers updated
4- Where can i found that? lol

FredWP September 8, 2010, 8:08 pm

Did you only just update it, or were they already up-to-date?

https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 8:29 pm

They are already updated.
I updated DirectX now and nothing changed. :(

FredWP September 8, 2010, 8:42 pm

Try this build and tell me if it works: http://omploader.org/vNWg0aw/FredWP-WRWb12395.zip

FredWP September 8, 2010, 8:46 pm

If that build doesn't work, try this:

- Run the application as administrator.
- Put the WormsReloadedWindowed.exe file on the white list of Kaspersky.

EshMoon September 8, 2010, 9:37 pm

tried both and doesnt works.

FredWP September 8, 2010, 10:01 pm

Let's hope v2.0 will work for you.

Angelo September 12, 2010, 12:10 am

v2.1. That was very quick. Didn't even see v2.0 :)

EshMoon September 14, 2010, 11:59 pm

2.3 still not works too...

FredWP September 15, 2010, 8:45 pm

Can you provide a DxDiag log?

Press Control + R and type "dxdiag", then save all information.

Post the file on http://pastebin.com/.

FredWP September 16, 2010, 4:52 pm

I meant Windows + R over there.

FredWP September 18, 2010, 4:14 pm

cyr807 November 24, 2010, 12:01 pm

Is there any possibility to run your soft without Steam cause I have a proxy which block Steam

FredWP November 27, 2010, 11:43 pm

No, I'm sorry, but the point of this program is to run Worms: Reloaded in a window, not without Steam.

FredWP December 7, 2010, 3:31 pm

v2.9 update released.

11/05/2010 - v2.9: Now using ANSI mode in an effort to fix a loader issue that some users have been experiencing.
